The wait is over! I finally got my hands on the Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo in Buzz Kill. This product has been out of stock on the Sephora website for months. There aren’t many other ways to access Melt Cosmetics products in Canada, so I had to wait until Buzz Kill came back in stock. I was buzzing with excitement when the notification came in that Buzz Kill was available. Let’s found out if Buzz Kill is as sweet as honey!
Spring is in the air! The latest collection from MAC is a breath of beautiful spring air. The Black Cherry collection launched in Asia first, so I was eagerly waiting for it to be released in North America. At long last, I was able to get my hands on the Dilly-Dolly Extra Dimension Blush. This product is stunning! I love the packaging, I love colour, let’s find out if I love wearing it!
I splurged! I’m not usually someone who purchases expensive lipsticks, but these pretty little butterflies just called to me. I really liked the look of the Nars Claudette collection. Everything is so elegant and pretty, I wasn’t sure what to choose. I decided to go with a taupe lipstick called Augustine. Nars lipsticks aren’t cheap, so let’s see if this lipstick is worth the price.
Love is in the air! The new sparkly, pink cheek palette from Natasha Denona is here. The limited edition Love Cheek Duo is inspired by the Love Story collection Natasha Denona released in 2020. I was literally in love with this palette from the moment I saw it. I knew I had to have it, but it’s difficult to judge face products online without seeing them in person to colour match. I took a gamble on this one, let’s find out if I’m lucky in love with this duo.
This product is the cutest makeup item I’ve ever seen! The minute I saw this glittery, gold ox highlighter I knew I needed it in my life. This product was released as a limited edition item for Lunar New Year 2021. Clinique released a limited edition Lunar New Year highlight last year too. Though, 2020 was the year of the rat, so it wasn’t quite as endearing. But, the ox – this little guy is adorable to the freakin’ max! Let’s bust this product open and see if it pops like fireworks on Lunar New Year!
It’s that exciting time of month again! My January Boxycharm has arrived. The box I received this month is a great one! Honestly, it might be my favourite box I’ve received ever. I got everything I wanted from the products offered in the January box. So far, 2021 is starting off on the right foot. Let’s bust this box open and see what’s inside!
Queue the excitement! Pat McGrath has announced a new collection. There’s a whole boat load of new ultra rosy products landing just in time for Valentine’s Day. I’m a sucker for pink eyeshadow, so I want everything in this collection. With that said, the Pat McGrath name comes with an exorbitant price-tag, so I’m going to to try my best to resist temptation. I really wanted to try Viseart eyeshadow in 2020. Luckily, Viseart Petite Pro Midsommer palette was under the Christmas tree for me! This little slice of warm midsommer from Viseart is one of the tiniest eyeshadow palette I own – they don’t call it Petite Pro for nothing. Let’s play around with this Midsummer Night’s Dream themed palette. Hopefully, this palette is punching above its weight!

I might have gone a little crazy, but there’s nothing better than some good old-fashioned retail therapy to ease the quarantine fatigue.

Adorable embossed bears, cinnamon scented lipstick and a cute little red bag perfect for travel. I’m a big fan of berry tones and pink eyeshadow, so this collection was basically tailor made for me. Let’s find out if this cinnamon themed palette can warm my heart.

How much is my face worth? It’s an intriguing question. I’ve seen this tag go around the Youtube/blogosphere for a few years now. Before now, I’ve never been brave enough to sit down and add up the total amount of money the makeup I put on my face costs. So, I thought there’s no better way to spend a quiet quarantine day than to total it all up! I’m busting out my calculator because I know the total is going to be too high for me to add up mentally.
It’s that time of year yet again! The Sephora VIB holiday sale is upon us. I can’t believe it’s already November, it feels like it’s been a blink since it was 2019. Last year, I skipped the VIB sale altogether because there were so few products that peaked my interest. This year I’ve been very intrigued by many of the holiday collections brands have released. It makes for quite the dilemma when there’s so much beautiful holiday makeup. I definitely can’t buy everything I want, so let’s narrow down the list to the Top 5 Wish List items I’m considering.
Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight, never running from a real fight, she is the one named Sailor Moon! So much of my childhood was spent watching this iconic series. I remember having a magic scepter that lit up and made sounds! I wanted to be Sailor Moon as I kid – now as an adult, I can do my makeup like her.
