I splurged! I’m not usually someone who purchases expensive lipsticks, but these pretty little butterflies just called to me. I really liked the look of the Nars Claudette collection. Everything is so elegant and pretty, I wasn’t sure what to choose. I decided to go with a taupe lipstick called Augustine. Nars lipsticks aren’t cheap, so let’s see if this lipstick is worth the price.
The 2019 holiday season is upon us! Every brand is releasing sets left, right and centre. I can’t even begin to keep up with all the releases. With that said, there’s one holiday set I purchase every year – The 4-Piece Mini lipstick set from Bite Beauty. Every year Bite puts out an adorable kit filled with four wearable shades that are holiday perfection. Let’s see what’s inside the 2019 version of this Christmas staple.

Great deal alert! The other day I was browsing around Marshall’s – (my new favourite store) and I happened upon a diamond in the rough. I scored Too Faced’s, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua for only $12.99 CAD. I’m hoping this lipstick’s excessively long name directly correlates to wear time. I’ve had my eye on the Urban Decay, Game of Thrones collections since it was announced. The packaging is so rich and beautifully detailed. I’ve never seen a single episode of Game of Thrones – (but the aesthetic of this collection was calling my name). Sadly, the collection was totally sold out at my local Sephora. Surprisingly, last week, I found one lonely Sansa Stark lipstick available in the GOT display. I picked Sansa up and gave her a home. Let’s see how she performs.
I’m back from Europe and I’m ready to launch back into makeup action. The striking new collection Electric Wonder by MAC Cosmetics was released early in the UK (back in April). Conveniently, London was one of the cities I visited on my trip so I snagged a lipstick from the new collection early! I picked up the gorgeous shade Let’s Mesa Around. Let’s see how this new limited edition shade performs.

Spring has sprung with the latest collection from MAC Cosmetics Boom, Boom, Bloom! This has gotta be the best makeup collection name of all time. There’s so much energy in that title. I’m hoping all the pretty pink packaging will usher in some warm Spring weather. I’ve picked up one item in this collection so far – the Wagasa Twirl lipstick but I’m planning to buy more. Dusty rose, mauves and the occasionally pop of outrageous colour – that sums up my lipstick tendencies. I’m not as adventurous as I’d like to be when it comes to lipstick. I usually stick to neutrals, (medium mauve and me go together in perfect harmony). I own far too many neutral lipsticks but somehow I can always justify picking up another – (albeit slightly different), shade.

bareMinerals Ethereal Nudes is a 6 piece set featuring a variety of neutral shades and finishes. This is my first experience with bareMinerals lip products and I gotta say first times a charm with this set! I love the variety this set provides while keeping all the shades everyday wear friendly. Most lip sets include at least one bold shade I’ll never wear so I was happy Ethereal Nudes keeps it all neutral. 💄
