This is sort of a retro review. The beauty industry pumps out new products so fast after a few months some palettes can feel like old news. Too Faced’s Gingerbread Extra Spicy was released for holiday 2019 as a sequel to the massively successful Gingerbread Spice. I wasn’t going to post about this product because I received it for Christmas and it seemed like Extra Spicy’s time in the spotlight had passed. Though, I saw a few people posting on Instagram about finding it at TX Maxx or Marshall’s so I figured I would share my thoughts. Let’s dive in and see if this spicy palette brings the heat!
The mothership has landed! Pat McGrath Labs is a high end brand with an out of this world aesthetic. A few month ago, some of the brands six pan palettes were on sale and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one. Let’s see if this Platinum Bronze, $89.00CAD palette lives up to the sky high hype!
It’s officially November! Meaning, the holiday makeup season is in full swing and product releases are out of control. I’ve only purchased a few items this holiday season. I’m trying to be more selective with my purchases and I love a product that delivers on the holiday theme. So, with those two thoughts in mind I picked up the fantastically, festive Hot Buttered Rum from Too Faced. Let’s find out how this Christmas palette performs.
And so it grows! The story of my ever expanding Too Faced collection. Recently, I bought the Sparkling Pineapple eyeshadow palette from the Tutti Frutti collection. I’ve wanted to try the Tutti Frutti collection since it was released, but it’s not available at Sephora so accessing the line in Canada isn’t easy. I thank my lucky pineapples that this collection ended up at Marshall’s. Plus, the palette was on sale for $19.00 so I couldn’t lose. Let’s see how Sparkling Pineapple performs!
Shake your palm, palms! Shake your bon bons! Shake whatever you have because Too Faced’s new beach getaway themed palette has arrived. The Shake Your Palm, Palms palette is eight shades of fun in the sun eyeshadow goodness. This palette is inspired by getting away from it all and the shades couldn’t be more travel friendly. Let’s see how the Shake Your Palm Palms palette performs!
Introducing the Lou Manizer Squad, the adorable four pan highlight palette from the The Balm Cosmetics. This quad contains four beautiful lady-Lou highlights banding together to form one unstoppable squad. This palette caught my attention while I was browsing the makeup section at Winners. Luckily, I scored this palette for only $16.99 CAD. Let’s find out how this fearsome, foursome performs.
I’ve wanted the Born to Run palette since its release last year. The wanderlust design spoke to me on a spiritual level but Born to Run reminded me a lot of the old Vice palettes Urban Decay used to release. I own several of the Vice palettes and I rarely use them. I decided I wouldn’t use Born to Run enough to justify the $64.00 CAD price tag…then it went on sale! The price dropped to $39.00 CAD at Sephora so I decided to indulge my desire to own this travel themed palette. Let’s see how Born to Run performs!
Tarte’s Make Every Moment Count is springtime in a palette. This palette contains three beautiful blush shades ready to enhance any spring/summer look. I snagged this palette for a great price ($12.00 USD) as an add-on to my February IPSY Bag . I’ve only tested a few different Tarte face products before, so I was excited to get my hands on these blushes. Let’s find out how this gorgeous blush palette performs!
My Urban Decay collection started with an icon – the original Naked palette. That fateful day was the beginning of the longest makeup relationship of my life. I have since expanded my Naked collection to include Naked 2, Naked 3, Naked Smoky and most recently Naked Heat. Each palette signifies a chapter in my personal makeup saga. These palettes have been well-loved in my collection and the nostalgia is real for each palette. Let’s check out my Naked collection!
