The wait is over! I finally got my hands on the Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo in Buzz Kill. This product has been out of stock on the Sephora website for months. There aren’t many other ways to access Melt Cosmetics products in Canada, so I had to wait until Buzz Kill came back in stock. I was buzzing with excitement when the notification came in that Buzz Kill was available. Let’s found out if Buzz Kill is as sweet as honey!
It’s that exciting time of month yet again! My Boxycharm April Base Box has arrived and it’s a good one folks. I haven’t done a Boxycharm post in awhile. I got a few boxes I wasn’t pleased with and the shipping was excessively slow. I felt like I was too far behind the eight ball to post my boxes the last couple months. Luckily, my April box arrived quickly! So, let’s jump in and see what Boxy has to charm me with this month.
Spring is in the air! The latest collection from MAC is a breath of beautiful spring air. The Black Cherry collection launched in Asia first, so I was eagerly waiting for it to be released in North America. At long last, I was able to get my hands on the Dilly-Dolly Extra Dimension Blush. This product is stunning! I love the packaging, I love colour, let’s find out if I love wearing it!
I own enough eyeshadow to last until the end of my days. Some products catch my attention and manage to stay at the top of my makeup drawer. Other palettes I only use a few times and they end up ghosted or forgotten. These palettes have been relegated to my makeup graveyard. I want to resurrect these palettes, get them back into my regular makeup rotation and rekindle the feeling of excitement I had when I first purchased them. Let’s take a lot at a few lesser loved palettes in my collection.
I splurged! I’m not usually someone who purchases expensive lipsticks, but these pretty little butterflies just called to me. I really liked the look of the Nars Claudette collection. Everything is so elegant and pretty, I wasn’t sure what to choose. I decided to go with a taupe lipstick called Augustine. Nars lipsticks aren’t cheap, so let’s see if this lipstick is worth the price.
Love is in the air! The new sparkly, pink cheek palette from Natasha Denona is here. The limited edition Love Cheek Duo is inspired by the Love Story collection Natasha Denona released in 2020. I was literally in love with this palette from the moment I saw it. I knew I had to have it, but it’s difficult to judge face products online without seeing them in person to colour match. I took a gamble on this one, let’s find out if I’m lucky in love with this duo.
January 2021 has come and gone. Fortunately, lockdown rules are loosening a bit where I live, so things are looking a tiny bit brighter. I thought it would be fun to share a few favourites things that got me through a quiet, quarantine January. This product is the cutest makeup item I’ve ever seen! The minute I saw this glittery, gold ox highlighter I knew I needed it in my life. This product was released as a limited edition item for Lunar New Year 2021. Clinique released a limited edition Lunar New Year highlight last year too. Though, 2020 was the year of the rat, so it wasn’t quite as endearing. But, the ox – this little guy is adorable to the freakin’ max! Let’s bust this product open and see if it pops like fireworks on Lunar New Year!
It’s that exciting time of month again! My January Boxycharm has arrived. The box I received this month is a great one! Honestly, it might be my favourite box I’ve received ever. I got everything I wanted from the products offered in the January box. So far, 2021 is starting off on the right foot. Let’s bust this box open and see what’s inside!
Queue the excitement! Pat McGrath has announced a new collection. There’s a whole boat load of new ultra rosy products landing just in time for Valentine’s Day. I’m a sucker for pink eyeshadow, so I want everything in this collection. With that said, the Pat McGrath name comes with an exorbitant price-tag, so I’m going to to try my best to resist temptation. Let’s discuss the pros and cons of the Divine Rose Luxe Quad.
I really wanted to try Viseart eyeshadow in 2020. Luckily, Viseart Petite Pro Midsommer palette was under the Christmas tree for me! This little slice of warm midsommer from Viseart is one of the tiniest eyeshadow palette I own – they don’t call it Petite Pro for nothing. Let’s play around with this Midsummer Night’s Dream themed palette. Hopefully, this palette is punching above its weight!
There’s no better beauty deal than the Boxycharm PopUp shop! Recently, there’s been some amazing deals in the PopUp shop, I couldn’t resist grabbing a few products at a massively reduced price. I might have gone a little crazy, but there’s nothing better than some good old-fashioned retail therapy to ease the quarantine fatigue.
2021 can’t come fast enough! Things won’t snap back to normal when the calendar flips, but the hope of a new year is always a moral boost. Introducing the Too Faced Cinnamon Bear Limited Edition Eye, Cheek and Lip Makeup Collection. This collection has everything! Adorable embossed bears, cinnamon scented lipstick and a cute little red bag perfect for travel. I’m a big fan of berry tones and pink eyeshadow, so this collection was basically tailor made for me. Let’s find out if this cinnamon themed palette can warm my heart.
